Here's another late yet updated post on tropical climates .
It's long but it is simple and easy to understand .( with simple english)
:D
On the equator , within the tropical
climate zone experiences hot and humid weather
There is also abundant rainfall due to convection of air that takes place there .
During certain periods , thunderstorms can occur .
Nevertheless , tropical countries still receives considerable sunshine, and with
the excessive rainfall, provides ideal growing conditions for luxuriant vegetation .
Because a substantial part of the Sun’s heat is used up in evaporation and rain formation,
temperatures in the tropics rarely exceed 35°C; a daytime maximum of 32°C is more common. At night the abundant cloud cover restricts heat loss, and minimum temperatures fall no lower than about 22°C. This high level of temperature is maintained with little variation throughout the year .
Singapore is an equatorial country with relatively uniform temperature, high humidity and abundant rainfall.
It's average daily temperature range from 26.8 - 31 degree Celsius .
Also it's annual rainfall is 2,345 mm with increased rainfall from Nov to Jan .
About the mean relatively humidity in Singapore ranges in the high 90's in the early morning to around 60 % in the mid-afternoon. Mean value is 84%, During prolonged heavy rain, relative humidity often reaches 100 %.
Therefore , conclusion shows that Singapore is located within the tropical region .
